In the canal of Antiparos and next to Reymatonisi (Goylandri’s property) is found the skerry Saliagos. There was discovered the older Neolithic thorp of Cyclades. Despotiko 

Despotiko

In the S.W utmost of Antiparos are found three uninhabited islands. Despotic (ancient Prepesinthos) that is the bigger, Tsimintiri and Stroggylo that presents big archaeological interest. From excavations that became importantly archaic, Hellenistic and mediaeval discoveries were found. Last excavations, that are continued in Despotic lead to the existence of a sanctum dedicated in Apollo and Artemis. You can visit and admire the important discoveries in the Despotic from the dorm of Saint George with caique.

Castle

Near the square of village and next to the church of Saint Nikolaos is found the Venetian castle one of the few preservable castles that is inhabited until today. It was built in the 1440 so that the residents of island are protected from the continuous raids of pirates. It’s worth taking a walk in to medieval castle where you will admire the Cycladic architecture and you will visit the museum and the churches of the castle.

Cavern 

Cavern

The cavern of Antiparos is one of the most famous sightseeing’s in the world. It’s well known from the antiquity and as its ancienter visitor is reported the lyric poet of the 7th century e.g., Archilochos the Parios. It is found in the hill of St. Yannis in altitude of 177 meters. It has depth above 100 meters and the descent becomes with 411 steps that lead to the heart of cavern, through a fantastic cluster of stalactites and stalagmites. A huge stalagmite is the oldest in Europe and is dated that it’s 45 million years. One of the visitors of cavern was the first king of Greece, Othonas in 1840. It’s worth visiting this unique masterpiece of nature and you must.
